The Eden Project took delivery of the World's Largest Easter Egg* which was delivered by crane and planted into the Core Education building next to the biomes. The Seed sculpture has been temporarily removed and replaced with the giant Creme Egg.
Workmen watch as the Egg begins it's journey. The plan is that schoolchildren who visit the Core will be able to go and have a bite of the Creme Egg once they have finished their work.
The Egg is raised into place by a giant crane.
The operation to plant the Egg into the Core took about 35 minutes. UPDATE: Here's a snap of it being delivered to Eden:
*They didnt really. Happy April Fools Day! ;)
